£3960 Compensation Paid For 2 Passengers In A Road Traffic Accident

A 20 year old Site Operative from Blackpool was injured whilst travelling as a front seat passenger in his friend’s car.  They were stationary at a give way junction on Rectory Road in Blackpool, waiting behind another car.  Without warning the car in reversed back and into collision with their car.  As a result of this he suffered pain to his neck.

He approached John Bennett who was happy to act for him on a ‘No Win No Fee’ basis.  Mr Bennett secured an admission of liability from the Defendant insurers for the road traffic accident and then referred his client to be examined by a medical expert.  He was diagnosed as suffering from a whiplash injury to his neck which was estimated to last for up to 8 months after the accident.  On this basis Mr Bennett was able to obtain an offer of settlement and his client was awarded £1800 in compensation.

His friend had also been injured in the accident as she was sat in the rear of the vehicle.  The 18 year old student also approached John Bennett and once they had obtained an admission of liability she was also referred to the medical expert.  She was diagnosed as suffering from a soft tissue injury to her back which would last for approximately 9 months, as well as travel anxiety particularly whilst driving which would last for approximately 6 months.  On this basis her claim was settled for £2160.  Both clients were able to enjoy the full amount of their compensation as the ‘No Win No Fee’ agreement meant that Mr Bennett’s fees were paid by the Defendant insurers.
