Over £4,000 Awarded To Blackpool Woman Injured on Pedestrian Crossing

A 47 year old kitchen chef from Blackpool was injured whilst walking along a pedestrian crossing whilst carrying her two year old granddaughter.

She was crossing Chapel Street at its junction with Central Drive in Blackpool when a car hit her, ran over her right foot and hit her knee.  She fell to the floor whilst managing to keep hold of her granddaughter.  She landed on her right knee, elbow, forearm and wrist causing significant bruising and strain.

As a result of the accident she required 3 weeks off work whilst she recovered.  She approached John Bennett who was able advise her with regards to making a personal injury claim.  The claim was a success and she was awarded £4,250 for her injuries, £294.54 for the three weeks lost earnings, £15 for medication and £7.20 travel costs for travelling to hospital – a total of £4,566.74.  Thanks to the ‘No Win No Fee’ agreement that she had entered in to her legal fees were paid on top so she was able to enjoy the full amount of compensation awarded.
